Our inaugural roasting shop (aka coffee cave) open house event was a success! We had a small crowd with friends old and new, but all of them grade A humans. Thanks to all who attended!
This international coffee day event was something of trial run for future open house style events. We definitely want to do more and we're planning the next one for some time around Christmas, so mark your calendars! Although next time we will make a few minor changes.
For one, we want to do fewer demos, sampling, and other educational and probably boring to most people activities, and offer more coffee. Our roasting shop will become a coffee shop for the night possibly. This means less of you being forced against your will to listen to nerdy coffee things that fascinate me, and more of you just enjoying your time visiting, drinking good coffee, and eating yummy things, which is how good coffee should be experienced anyway.
Also we're still in the air for the next date. It will probably be shortly after Christmas, possibly merged with a new year's eve Bonfire and fireworks. Because fire is our middle name. Let me know in the comments what you think of seeing the new year in with good coffee and lots of fire.
Again, thank you to all who attended, and we're excited for the next one! We will keep you posted as plans develop. Hope to see you there!
